It seemed simple enough: leave on a 5:30pm flight to Toronto, zip over to another gate for my flight to Sydney (with a stop-over in Vancouver), sleep/read/gameboy my way across the pacific ocean and wake up to find myself in some sort of sub-tropical paradise.
